In addition, it is environmentally friendly and cost-effective, with power consumption up to 10 times lower than STBs<\/strong>. The number of components compared to PCMCIA CAMs are reduced thus <strong>decreasing their carbon footprint and electronic waste generation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The CI Plus 2.0 standard has already been integrated by several TV manufacturers, including Hisense, LG, Vestel and TPV. Progressive roll-out of the standard is expected to take place in 2025 in Europe and other regions, thus allowing a transition away from the old PCMCIA port interface.<\/p>\n<p>Software development behind this device is the result of joint efforts between Freenet TV, TWISE and Irdeto.<\/p>\n<p>TWISE is a French company developing embedded security software recognized as a leader in the CI Plus 2.0 industry thanks to its know-how and strong expertise in conditional access, CAM and CI plus technology.<\/p>\n<p>Irdeto is the world leader in digital platform cybersecurity, empowering businesses to innovate for a secure, connected future.
